What is deja-vu ?
Most of us have had the experience of being in a completely new situation but at the same time having a Strong feeling that we already experienced exactly the same thing at some time in the past.the feeling usually only lasts for a moment or two. scientists do not dispute that the experience of deja-vu - french for 'already seen' - exists, but unlike new agers, who believe that deja-vu experiences are fragments of memory from a previous existence, scientists consider it a kind of malfunction of the brain. how this comes about is not yet entirely clear. according to one line of research, when a person has an experience, his or her mind will search for similar experiences that have been stored in the memory archive in an area of the brain known as HIPPOCAMPUS. during this process it may be the case that, even though there is no matching memory, the brain incorrectly reports that there is. it is at this point that we feel that we have experienced something before, even though we haven't.
